Who this training is for
- Managers at all levels, team leads and project managers
- High-potential employees preparing for a management role
- Internal trainers and HR/L&D teams who need a ready-made program
- Independent trainers who deliver programs for corporate clients
Problems it solves
- Tasks get stuck because everyone assumes someone else will do them
- Missed deadlines are explained with excuses and someone to blame
- The manager takes tasks back because it is "easier to do it myself"
- Nobody knows who owns the result when several people work on a task
- Conversations about missed deadlines turn into lectures and change nothing
What participants will be able to do
Tell accountable behavior from unaccountable behavior by words and actions — in themselves and in their team
Replace habitual excuses with the formula "fact — my part — what I will do — by when"
Sort issues into three circles — responsibility, influence and acceptance — and spend energy where they can make a difference
See that "putting it off" is also a decision, and negotiate with their own "but"
Assign roles with a RACI matrix so that every result has exactly one owner
Recognize when an employee shifts, avoids or denies responsibility
Run a "hand responsibility back" conversation: from facts to an agreement with a clear deadline and follow-up
